Nurse (RN) for an essential full-time role as a Nurse Unit Manager. As a Nurse Manager, you will
delegate the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your

A day in the life of a Nurse Manager includes, but is not limited to, the following duties and
Leads, inspires, develops, and motivates team members to provide exceptional care. Oversees
Unit personnel and enforces nurse schedule.
Establishes objectives, goals and priorities for selected residents and patients, nurse staff
education, and organizational objectives.
Assists with the coordination of the continuity of all professional services, as required, to
meet the health, welfare, and safety needs of the residents.
Actively responds to consults, assesses patients, and offers recommendations for continued
Collaborates with the Director of Nursing and the Assistant Director of Nursing to develop
and implement Nursing Services' objectives and methods of coordination with other
disciplines and shifts on the Units.
Reviews, evaluates, and assures Standard of Nursing policy compliance for all Unit shifts.
Audits residents' medical records and assists with charting.
Assists with in-service training, asrequired and necessary.
Assists with development of on-the-job training, onboarding, and education programs and
reports any such changes to the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing.
Reviews recaps on a timely basis.
Assists with mealtimes as necessary.
Reviews, evaluates, and discusses employee grievances with the DON and ADON.
Actively listens and confers with residents and family members, with a cheerful and pleasant
disposition, using tact and understanding when dealing with difficult situations. Maintains a
liaison with residents, their families, support departments, and other entities to adequately
plan for residents’ needs.
Ensures compliance with all applicable Federal and State regulations and internal policies and
procedures. Ensure infection control policies and procedures are maintained.
Assists with Continuous Quality Improvement monitoring.
Performs evaluations. Communicate and counsel team members asnecessary.
Makes daily rounds on resident units, review all 24-hour reports, visit with residents, and
monitor and report on changes in the condition of residents.
Works beyond normal working hours, including weekends and holidays, as necessary.

Required qualifications:
Graduate of approved Registered Nurse program, or accredited college or university.
Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in the English language.
Minimum 1 year experience in a Management role in acute care or long-term care, or other
related health care facility.

Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
Shift: Full-time: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
