Full-time positions for Registered Nurses (RNs) * Sign on Bonus 

  • Primary duties include: The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and supervises individual patient care according to unit policies and procedures. Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers in the implementation of care plans.  May be required to work on other units according to distribution of staff and patients.
  • Core Responsibilities:
  1. Completes nursing assessment of patient and documents appropriately into patient chart.
  2. Develops and reviews and revises a plan of care, including a discharge plan, based upon the assessment of patient's needs.
  3. Implements medical and nursing orders per plan of care and documents appropriately.
  4. Evaluates patient's response to care.
  5. Engages in patient and family teaching as appropriate.
  6. Oversees staff assigned for providing patient care.
  7. Collaborates with leadership to assure the integration of the ANA’s Scope & Standards of Practice, assuring that these standards are identified as the measurement criteria for nursing practice on the unit.
  8. Unit specific orientation and ongoing training and competencies are assigned based on department role, scope of services, and organizational standards.
  9. Documents training and competencies in electronic format.
  • Minimum Hiring Requirements:
  1. Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing
  2. Minimum of a current Wyoming Registered Nurse License or enhanced Nurse Licensure (eNLC) upon start date
  3. Cheyenne Regional AHA RQI within 14 calendar days of start date
  4. 6 months experience required unless otherwise specified below
  5. Minimum of one year experience required for the following units:
  6. Medical, Telemetry, Surgical, Pediatric, ICU, OB GYN, Nursery II, Ortho Neuro, Rehab, Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, Resource Pool, Care Clinic, Same Day Surgery
  • Preferred Hiring Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing 

Full-time positions for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNAs) 

  • Primary duties include: Provides basic patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates individual patient care within the scope of his/her training and experience.
  • Core Responsibilities:
  1. Provides direct patient care including but not limited to assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and walking patients.
  2. Keeps record of care given.
  3. Takes vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate) when appropriate.
  4. Turns and repositions bedridden patients to prevent breakdown of their skin.
  5. Changes bed linens as necessary.
  6. Transports patients and equipment as needed within the facility.
  7. Monitors patients and reports any variances to the RN for further assessment.
  8. May monitor unit camera as needed and notify staff of patient activity.
  9. Works collaboratively with the RN in charge to meet physicians, coworkers, management and other department needs.
  10. May provide unit support as needed, which may include answering and relaying patient calls, accepting and relaying other communications, transcribing physician orders, performing clerical tasks, completing and maintaining reports and records, or ordering supplies.
  11. Completes mandatory education and contact education requirements including 12 CEUs per year.
  12. I understand that it is not within my scope of practice to handle any medications that I might inadvertently come in contact with, including medications delivered in the pneumatic tube system. If I do come in contact with medications I know to alert a licensed employee for them to handle
  • Minimum Hiring Requirements:
  1. High school diploma (or Equivalent Certificate from an accredited program) or higher degree
  2. Minimum of a current Wyoming Certified Nursing Assistant license upon start date
  3. Cheyenne Regional RQI within 14 calendar days of start date
  • Preferred Hiring Requirements:
  1. Prior acute care experience
  2. 6 months experience as a CNA

Full-time positions for Medical Assistants (MAs)

  • Primary duties include: The Medical Assistant demonstrates advanced critical thinking skills in the collection of patient information as well as clerical and environmental tasks necessary to assist with provider directed patient care within the clinic setting.
  • Core Responsibilities:
  1. Greets, screens, schedules, and directs patients to exam rooms.
  2. Obtain, verify, and update patient information and health history. Collects and charts patient information into the medical record as reported by the patient, to include a review of the current medication list.
  3. Patient care responsibilities may include: Assists patients with ambulation, transfers, assistive device instruction, body mechanic instruction, and activities of daily living. Obtains patient vital signs, administer basic wound and first aid, therapeutic modalities, i.e. nebulizer treatment, etc., phlebotomy and point of care testing (including CLIA-waived testing). Administers subcutaneous injection, intramuscular injection, and intradermal injection, and medication administration (with the exception of narcotics). Electrocardiography includes placement of electrodes and obtaining EKG. Minor surgery assists, includes surgical tray set-up pre/post-surgical care, and suture removal. Specimen handling; i.e. urine, throat, vaginal, stool, and sputum.
  4. Environmental responsibilities may include: Sets-up instruments and equipment according to department protocols. Aseptic/sterile technique and basic decontamination, instrument wrapping, cleaning of exam/procedure room/instruments/and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control requirements. Ordering, sorting, storing supplies, and restocking exam/procedure rooms.
  5. Clerical responsibilities may include: Sending/receiving patient medical records, obtaining lab/X-ray reports, hospital or clinic notes, referral information, and completing forms/requisitions as needed to ensure provider availability. Scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage and pre-authorizations, managing and updating charts to ensure information is complete and filed appropriately.
  6. Acts as the backup receptionist.
  7. Assists with peer development and new hire preceptorship.
  8. Provides an active supportive role in the clinic’s process improvement initiatives.
  • Minimum Hiring Requirements:
  1. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  2. Proficient with MS Office, Outlook and Internet Explorer
  3. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  4. Demonstrate an independent work initiative and sound judgment
  5. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  6. Knowledge of health care field and medical office protocols/procedures
  7. Knowledge of specific assisting tasks related to particular medical practice
  8. Knowledge of medical terminology
